“ Ordered BBQ chicken, coconut shrimp and egg fuyong. All were really good; chicken were really juicy and the fuyong were tasty. Very friendly staff and fast as well. We did take out but there were clean outside seats. ”
“ Food is as good in general but they butchered the mahi mahi. So dry. It's nice they replaced rice with stirred fried veggies. At extra cost though. ”
“ My favorite place that we ate at in Maui. We got the weekly specials, and 3 combos for my family of 5 was a little under enough if it were to be a full meal, but we were getting a heavy snack before dinner in a few hours. I was glad to try the different things they had to offer so we could try a little bit of everything. The lady in the front was very helpful with any questions we had about the plates, and it came out in adequate time. And were especially informative about the ingredients due to different allergies some people in my party had. The restaurant itself wasn't too large, but seating for a decent amount of people. We took our food to go. If I were to come back to visit this area, this is the first place I would stop. ”
“ DELICIOUS!!! Did a search on Yelp for "Hawaiian BBQ" and this place was listed as #1. For good reason. This is a locals spot. Lots of locals eating there. A classic hole-in-the-wall spot for great local food. While they do have a few tables, it's take-out. The cashier was both friendly and efficient. Got the vibe she's maybe family of the owners. She knew most of the customers. BTW -cash only, no credit cards. There is an on-site ATM if you need cash. Wife had the Lemon caper mahi mahi and loved it. I had the daily special of teriyaki steak and coconut shrimp. Delish!!! The steak was super tender and perfectly done. Not a fan of macaroni, but there's was yummy. We will definitely eat there again. ”
“ Ya know... they know how to fry food. Seasoning the meat before frying would go a long way. This is the first place that fried crispy as we asked. It's a to go spot CASH ONLY. Call ahead to order. They close the kitchen 30 mins before the store. In/out. Healthy portions and definitely options that can be shared. Randomly--- the French fries-- great! Delicious and crispy. Chicken catsu and Mahi mahi combo. All fried. They know how to fry but the meat is not seasoned. They rely on the sauce (I had on side) and panko breadcrumbs. Would I return? Maybe for the fries. Maybe because it was the only place in Maui that knew how to fry something. Just wish they had more flavor in the meat and Mac salad without sauce or salt. ”
“ CASH ONLY!!!! Good for take-out orders, not much space for dining in. Wow, the patty they used for their loco moco was soooooo juicy and good. I'd say this was my favorite (overall) place for loco moco, even though it was on the saltier side. If I had more days in Maui, I'd definitely get it again! The pricing was very reasonable, but too bad it was cash only. The cashier was super friendly and made an exception to allow us to make one-time only payment with 1 credit card (for 3 orders). She did say no next time. We were wondering why she would say that, but after we ate dinner, we immediately figured out a way to get cash back from grocery stores just so we can go back again. ”
“ An easy to-go family owned business in the strip plaza. Nothing fancy inside but a lot of smiles amongst the phone ringing off the hook. Cooked fresh to order so be prepared for a wait during peak hours. You can see them hustle in the semi open kitchen. A little bit of everything ~ Hawaiian, Japanese, Chinese, etc. A couple 2 chair tables in front. Tasty, filling & hits da spot. ”
